Alana Cross, Correspondent Alana is a 17-year old student who currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona. She currently writes for Affinity Magazine and other publications, focusing mainly on progressive politics. While not catching up with the latest political developments, you can find her volunteering, prepping for a debate tournament, or drinking coffee. In the future, she wants to study political science or philosophy and, ultimately, aspires to pursue a career in government or law.

Katie Kong, Correspondent Katie Kong was born in Seoul, South Korea and moved to the US when she was 4. She has lived in three different states and currently resides in Dayton, Ohio. In her free time, she consumes copious amounts of ice cream and mourns the recent loss of her Netflix account.

Sydney Uhlman, Correspondent Sydney Uhlman is a 16-year-old student from Des Moines, Iowa. Since April 2016, she has served as Vice Chair of High School Democrats of Iowa, working to provide her state’s youth with opportunities for civic engagement. Sydney also has served as Central Regional Officer for the Iowa Youth Congress and volunteered for political campaigns during the 2016 election cycle. She is currently working on legislation that would lower her state’s voter preregistration age to 16.
