teenagers from around the world discuss politics, specifically for people who can't vote, on this biweekly podcast

Welcome to We the Ppl!

Welcome to We the Ppl!

Hi there! I'm Zora Ilunga-Reed, the host and creator of We the Ppl: Politics for Those Who Can't Vote. It seems like it was just yesterday that I started this podcast sitting on my bedroom floor with my mic, laptop, and a mostly-empty pint of ice cream. Since that day I've recorded a total of ten episodes on a range of topics and migrated to my desk which is a bit more comfortable.

I created We the Ppl after being frustrated at the common response I got from just about anyone I talked politics with: "Yeah, but you can't vote." That always struck me as a conversation-ender, a dangerous tool in a democracy where dialogue and information are key. We the Ppl is designed to give those people who are typically dismissed from political dialogue a voice, while providing interesting news and election coverage from an unconventional source.

So, click away! On this website you'll find links to the podcast episodes on iTunes, the resources I use, and the occasional blog post from yours truly. You'll also find links to the podcast on social media where you can contact me with questions, comments, or suggestions (I love all three!).

All the best,

Zora
